Jenny Caras has enjoyed an incredible amount of success so far in her career. Jenny began riding at the early age of four years old and learned the ropes on a pony named Tally Ho. By age six, she was foxhunting and galloping fearlessly across open fields. After leasing a horse for several years, her parents took the plunge and bought her a horse. By then, Jenny was spending hours at the barn and nothing could keep her away.

Those hours spent at the barn paid off in 2010, when Jenny and her horse, Raku, went to the North American Junior & Young Rider Championships CH-J1*. Three years later, Jenny won Team Gold and Individual Bronze at the 2013 NAJYRC CH-2* with her mount Fernhill Stowaway. In 2015, Jenny placed 6th at Jersey Fresh International CIC3*, 4th at Bromont Canada CCI3*, and was awarded the Markham Trophy as the highest placed Young Rider at Fair Hill International CCI3* with Fernhill Fortitude whom she produced to the top level of the sport herself.

In 2016, Jenny was awarded the Karen Stives Grant which allowed her to travel to England to compete Fernhill Fortitude in the Under 25 division at the Branham CIC3*. Jenny and Fernhill Fortitude finished in 9th place amongst a very competitive field of international equestrians.

In 2017, Jenny achieved many notable accolades and she was one of the youngest riders privileged to compete at the Rolex Kentucky CCI4*. For the sixth consecutive year, Jenny was chosen as one of 10 top riders in the United States to be selected to the 2018 USEF Eventing 25 Training List. Jenny’s list of accomplishments continues to grow in 2018.

After three years of working and riding for Phillip Dutton, Jenny launched her own business, Caras Eventing International. She looks forward to developing her business while continuing to build a string of top level event horses under the watchful eye of Phillip Dutton. Caras Eventing International is based out of True Prospect Farm.
